Here are a few stones I've cut recently.  I'm not sure if I like the pebble background for photographs - but I'm experimenting.

This stone is tiger iron - which is tiger eye that has been compressed with pyrite and hematite:

These are stalacite, which are literally cross sections of stalactites.  It is actually pretty hard to cut because it is so soft.  However the finished stones are really pretty I think.

I'm on a new medication that helps me concentrate and makes me way more productive at shows - so here are some trees I made at the last show I was vending at.  I love the orange one especially.

I've been experimenting with many things - including a light tent.  However, the more interesting thing I've been doing is reversing tree colors to see what they look like.  So here are two trees that are made with the exact same stones, but in a different order.  You can see it makes for a totally different tree.

Here is a pretty odd tree - I like the contrast in it.  The base piece is a pieces of fossilized wood that I broke open and happened to find it filled with druzy.

I thought this was an interesting comparison - these two trees are made of the same stones and the same color wire - the order of the stones is the only thing that is varied

Here are a few new trees that will be going to Funky Finds . . .

Here are some trees.  I'm trying to come up with a tree that looks like it is just coming out of winter into spring and I'm not having a lot of luck.  These are nice trees though - they just aren't the effect I'm after . . .

We are not supposed to have sun here until Thursday so I decided to just work with nature and take some pictures of pieces I've done recently in the snow.  I've not done butterflies in a while - so think spring while you look at them . . .

This piece is not everyone's cup of tea but I love it to the point that I think it is one of my favorites I've ever made - it is made from a salt dried snake that my cats brought me. The stones at the base of the necklace represent the four elements.
